Stamford Man Charged With Swiping SUV From Gas Station STAMFORD, Conn. -- The suspect in a stolen car case made the work of police really easy as he tossed his license plates in a garbage can at a gas station and then stole an SUV parked beside the garbage can, Stamford Police said. Jefferson Maldonado, 26, of 10 Revere Drive, was charged with second-degree larceny. Police said a motorist went to the gas station at 1125 E. Police Seeking Help In Catching Burglar Chased From Stamford House STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are seeking the public's help in finding a burglary suspect who was chased from a Cummins Point Road home late Monday morning. The suspect was spotted in a second-floor bedroom by the residents at about 11:20 a.m. and chased from the home, police said. 16-Year Old Arrested By Stamford Cops On Charges Of Dealing Heroin STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 16-year-old was arrested Tuesday evening with nearly $4,700 in heroin packaged for sale in what a senior Stamford Police officer said was a disturbing example of the amount of heroin available and the ages of those involved in dealing it. I-95 Accident In Greenwich Ties Up Morning Traffic GREENWICH, Conn. -- Traffic was tied up on Interstate 95 northbound in Greenwich on Wednesday morning after a three-vehicle accident at about 9 a.m. Two women could be seen attending to a baby in a stroller by the median. The three vehicles involved were a Mercedes SUV, a Honda Accord and a Kia. The accident occurred just north of Exit 3. There was no information on any injuries.
