Deadly Crash On I-78 In Pennsylvania: State Police A driver died after losing control of their car and hitting a guard rail early on Monday, Aug. 14, Pennsylvania State Police detailed in a release.  The crash happened on Interstate 78 in Tilden Township just before 3 a.m., troopers wrote in a report.  The driver was eastbound when their car veered off the south side of the road and hit the rail, according to investigators. VA Man ID'd As Victim Killed In I-78 Crash A 22-year-old Virginia man was killed in a tractor-trailer crash on a Pennsylvania highway over the weekend, authorities said. Evan Dennison, of Berryville, was driving a vehicle that struck the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 78 in Weisenberg Township, on Sunday, July 23, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. Dennison was pronounced dead at the scene, at 2:53 p.m. All westbound lanes were closed for several hours. Pennsylvania State Police were investigating.

SEPTA Buses Collide Injuring 14 In Philadelphia Over a dozen people are being treated for injuries after two SEPTA buses collided in Philadelphia on Friday, July 21, transit authorities told Daily Voice.  One bus rear-ended another on Roosevelt Boulevard in the city's Rhawnhurt neighborhood around noon, SEPTA confirmed. Fourteen people are reported injured, including the two bus drivers, they added.  Footage from the scene Friday afternoon showed first responders loading people onto stretchers and one bus with serious front-end damage. Police were seen rerouting traffic to avoid the scene.

Large Sinkhole Reroutes Traffic On Route 202 In Montco: Authorities Crews are working to patch up a sinkhole that collapsed a portion of East Dekalb Pike/Route 202 in King of Prussia on Monday, July 10. It happened between the Tires Plus and Walgreens stores just east of the Pike's intersection with South Henderson Road, Upper Merion police said.  Repairs are expected to take all day Tuesday, July 11, they added. Traffic is being detoured to Saulin Boulevard and South Henderson as workers repair the highway.  Drivers should avoid the area entirely if possible, authorities said.

Gas Leak Shutters Penn Square In Lancaster: Police (Update) A gas leak closed Penn Square in Lancaster on Friday, July 7, 2023.  All vehicle traffic at Penn Square was diverted north onto Queen Street, according to a post by the Lancaster Bureau of Police.  The leak appears to have involved a boiler in the area of East King and North Duke streets in the City, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications.  "No foot traffic (was) allowed in 100 Block East King," police said.  UGI has cleared the scene, according to the police and dispatch.
