Fairfax County Man Wins $600K Playing VA Lottery's Pick 5
Daniel Choi says he got lucky. The Fairfax County resident had 50 plays in the May 1 Pick 5 nighttime drawing, each using the Fireball. The winning numbers in that drawing were 1-4-6-6-1, and the Fireball number was 5. While Choi didn’t match the five digits, he matched using the Fireball, which replaced one of the digits, to win $12,000 for each of those 50 plays. Choi won $600,000. Sheetz Robber Leads Foot Pursuit Before Arrested In Leesburg, Police Say
An 18-year-old Leesburg man was arrested for assaulting and robbing an acquaintance at a Sheetz gas station last week, police said. Fidel Ordonez Molina assaulted the victim, took his phone and fled on foot around 5:20 p.m. Friday, May 17 at the Sheetz station on Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg police said. Officers canvassed the area and found Molina in the unit block of Plaza Street NE. Upon seeing the officers, Molina fled but was apprehended after a short foot chase, police said. A man who pulled a gun on a woman and robbed her of her purse in a hotel room racked up additional charges during his arrest when he assaulted a police officer, officials in Prince William County said. Heavy Delays Caused By I-95 Crash In Northern VA
Nearly three miles of delays were being reported in a crash on I-95 in Northern Virginia on Monday, May 20. The VDOT site shows the crash happened in the northbound lanes at milepost 161.4 in Occoquan at the Lorton border. As of 1:35 p.m., the north left shoulder, left outside lane, left center lane, right center lane, right outside lane, and right shoulder were alternating closures.

A member of the Metropolitan Police Department was shot and injured in Northwest DC on Monday afternoon. An officer was shot in the area of 7th Street and Oneida Place NW at around noon on Monday, May 20 and rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries, according to officials. Pilot Killed In Small Plane Crash ID'd As Alexandria Resident, 66
A 66-year-old pilot was killed in a small plane crash in Culpeper County on Friday, May 17, authorities confirmed. The private aircraft went down on the 13000 block of Spillman Road in Culpeper County just before 2:45 p.m., Virginia State Police said. The pilot was identified as Grover McCall Jr., of Alexandria. Missing Man, 25, Found Dead In Fairfax County, Police Say
A 25-year-old man missing since May 7 has been found dead, police in Fairfax County said. Om Arvind had last been seen leaving the 7200 block of Centreville Road in Manassas. On Saturday, May 18, county police said he had been found dead, and no foul play was suspected. Woman Found Dead On Fairfax County Roadside, Police Say
Police were investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in Fairfax County early Saturday, May 18.
