She was born Oct. 31, 1945, in New York, N.Y., and was raised in Woodside, Queens. On May 17, 1969, she married William Moran and moved to Flushing, Queens. In 1979, they moved to Pearl River. For many years, she worked for both the Pearl River and Hastings-On-Hudson school districts.
