He was born in Englewood, N.J., and was a longtime resident of Wyckoff. Before retiring in 1996, he was a business administrator at Aetna Insurance Company in New York. He was a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church. He is survived by his wife, Helene E. Christensen; son Richard D.
