Police have identified the 44-year-old man who was struck and killed by a Mercedes driver while crossing the road overnight. Rosedale resident James Douglas Williams, Jr. was struck on Washington Boulevard near Wilbert Lane by a 2014 Mercedes-Benz E350, according to Howard County Police investigators. The incident happened at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday night in Laurel. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. First responders were called shortly before 7 p.m. to the southbound lanes of I-95 near Route 22 in Aberdeen on Wednesday, Aug. 9, where there was a reported crash involving a motorcycle.
