It should be a slippery morning commute throughout the tristate area as an Alberta Clipper system could bring up to 2 inches of snow to the region overnight into Thursday.

Light snow is expected to develop overnight and continue into the morning commute, with around 1 to potentially 2 inches of accumulation possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Motorists are urged to use extra caution if traveling Thursday morning.

Snow should arrive sometime after 10 p.m. Wednesday, with a chance of snow continuing until around 9 a.m. Thursday.

Clouds will be followed by gradual clearing in the afternoon Thursday with a high temperature around 30 degrees and wind-chill values between 20 and 25.
