A winter weather advisory is in effect for Northern Fairfield County beginning at 7 p.m. Friday night and lasting through 8 a.m. Saturday.
The storm's mix of freezing rain and sleet could bring a little snow, but no accumulation is expected.
Conditions are expected to be worse in areas north of Interstate 84.
The main issue will be icy patches on the road and lower visibility. Drivers are urged to use caution.
Temperatures will be in the low 30s with wind at 5 mph.
