Fairfield Police: Purse Containing $200, Checks Stolen In Smash & Grab FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police reported two car windows smashed in the past few days. A Stoneleigh Road man told officers someone shattered his Honda Pilot’s rear hatch window sometime between Tuesday night and 6:38 a.m. Wednesday. The window was valued at $300. Nothing else was taken. Around 8:30 a.m., an Overhill Road woman reported a smashed passenger side window on her car. She told officers a navy blue pocketbook containing a checkbook and $200 in cash was stolen, police said. She had left the bag on the floor of the front seat.
