Fairfield Police: Men Forged Checks From Town Home Care Business FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police are investigating a forged check scheme after two men attempted to cash checks from a Fairfield home care business in Milford. The owner of Loving Hands Home Care reported Tuesday that a Milford bank told her two men — one from Stratford and one from West Haven — were attempting to cash checks that appeared to be from her business, police said. A bank teller cashed the Stratford man’s check for $907, which was made out to him, but became suspicious when the second man came in with an identical check also for $907, police said.
