The 12 students and six adults prepared two dinners for teens who are part of the residential program at Domus. The volunteers also did some landscaping and gardening work around the campus of the not-for-profit Childhood Learning Center preschool building on Maple Street.

“The kids were absolutely great. They worked really hard and I think we've made a solid start at building an ongoing collaborative effort with both Domus and the CLC,” said Harvey Dean of Students Pat Normandeau.

The Harvey School plans to return to work in the area with small groups again in January and in May. The entire upper school and staff, totaling more than 300 volunteers, are planning to spend the day in Stamford next October for the school’s fourth annual “Harvey Builds: A Day of Service.”
