Stamford City Representative Steps Down For New Position

STAMFORD, Conn. – A Democratic member of Stamford's Board of Representatives from the 12th District is resigning from his position to accept a new job, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Brien Buckman said in a July 28 letter that he looked forward to seeing Stamford’s growth in the coming years, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Buckman further recommended that the board appoint Jonathan Jacobson to fill his seat, though the board has not yet taken that step, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Buckman was elected to his volunteer position in 2013 and served on the steering, operations and education committee as well as the state and commerce committee, which he headed, according to the Stamford Advocate.
