STAMFORD, Conn. --- A boat and trailer were stolen after a woman left them on a city street Wednesday morning, according to Stamford police.
A New York woman was driving southbound on Interstate 95 around 9 a.m. Wednesday when she saw that she had a problem with a trailer, Sgt. Kelly Connelly said. She got off I-95 at Exit 6 and left the boat and trailer at the corner of Waverly Place and Wilson Street.
When she returned at 9 p.m. the 1986 Mark Twain 21-foot boat and its trailer were missing, Connelly said. Connelly said that police checked and there was no report of police having the boat towed away.
