Craig Fordon, 47, was driving his SUV northbound on Danbury Road around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17 when Wilton Police stopped him in the Honey Hill Road area.

During the stop, police discovered that Fordon had a loaded 4.5mm BB gun that resembled a 9mm Walther pistol. He also had hollow point pellets on the passenger's side floor that were within reach, according to police.

Fordon had a previous arrest in 2017 when he allegedly threatened a pizza delivery driver with a BB gun, police said.

Fordon was arrested and taken to Wilton Police Department. He was held on a $1,000 bond and charged with possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and failure to drive in the proper lane.

Fordon could not make his bail and was scheduled to be transported to Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
