Stamford Tenant Charged With Attacking Landlord

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A tenant of a Haig Avenue home has been accused of attacking his landlord for trying to evict him, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Joseph Cornacchia, 54, allegedly entered his landlord's apartment, screamed and knocked over several items and pieces of kitchen furniture Thursday night, the Stamford Advocate reported.

Cornacchia allegedly knocked the phone out of his landlord's hand and hit him in the back of the head when he tried to call 911, said the Stamford Advocate. 

Police charged Cornacchia with third-degree burglary, interfering with a 911 call, second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct, the Stamford Advocate reported.
