Stamford Police Ticket Driver In Pedestrian Accident

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A woman who hit a pedestrian with her car Tuesday in downtown Stamford was ticketed on a charge of failure to yield to a pedestrian, according to the Stamford Advocate website.

She hit a 50-year-old man with her car while he was crossing Washington Boulevard at North State Street, the report said.

He was taken to Stamford Hospital with a non-life-threatening head injury, the Advocate said.
