Stamford Man With 15-Inch Knife Arrested After Dispute

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man was arrested on charges of carrying a dangerous weapon after officers found a 15-inch knife in his possession when they responded to a fight late Wednesday, police said.

Officers were called to a disturbance on Underhill Street where two men — one of whom was carrying the 15-inch knife — were fighting, police said. When officers arrived at about 10:15 p.m., they discovered one man but the second was nowhere to be found, police said.

Devaun Joyner, 19, of 46 Underhill Road, was arrested and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and second-degree breach of peace.
