Stamford Man Faces DUI Charge In Hudson Valley

With law enforcement agencies cracking down on drunk, drugged and distracted driving, several local residents were among nearly a dozen who found themselves charged overnight.

Local residents charged were:

Orange County

  • On Thursday, Aug. 30, State Police in Highland arrested Michelle Davis, 47, of Newburgh, for DWAI. She was traveling on Parr Lake Drive in Newburgh when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by drugs and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Thursday, Aug. 30, State Police in Montgomery arrested Adrian Forester, 40, of New Windsor, for DWI. He was traveling in Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Aug. 31, State Police in Montgomery arrested Frank Punzone, 47, of Monroe, for DWI. He was traveling in Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Friday, Aug. 31, State Police in Highland arrested Selemiah Oremo, 23, of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9W in Lloyd when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested. 

Fairfield County

  • On Thursday, 30, State Police in Middletown arrested Stephen Calderon, 32, of Stamford, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 211 in Wallkill when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
