Stamford Man Charged With Animal Cruelty After Leaving Dog In Hot Car

STAMFORD — A Stamford man was charged with animal cruelty after leaving his German shepherd locked in a hot van at ShopRite on Saturday morning, according to the Stamford Advocate.

A witness called 911 after seeing the dog panting in the van for at least 15 minutes as temperatures soared into the high 80s with an even higher heat index, added the Stamford Advocate. 

Alexander Kourdioukov, 52, was released after posting $100 bond, said the Stamford Advocate.

The dog was taken to a vet for treatment, said the Stamford Advocate.
