The incident occurred Thursday morning at a Stamford home when the woman went in to wake up her daughter and was choked by a man in the 15-year-old's room, the Advocate said.

During a struggle, he put a pillow and blanker over her face, and he then fled as the girl went to her mother's aid, the Advocate said.

The girl said the attacker, whose name was not released because it would identify the victims, was her uncle, the Stamford Advocate said.

The man was charged with trespassing, assault and unlawful restraint and held on $25,000 bond, the Advocate said.
