Ihsan Alhaj-Ali of Fairfield was arrested on Monday, Oct. 15, when Wilton Police officers responded to the Mobil gas station at 932 Danbury Road for a complaint of a sexual assault, said Lt. Robert Kluk.
When officers arrived on scene they interviewed both the victim and the employee, Alhaj-Ali.
The victim told officers that while assisting her with using the air pump to inflate her tires Alhaj-Ali pulled the victim's shirt up and then her pants down, exposing the victim.
The investigation led to the arrest of Alhaj-Ali who was charged with sexual assault and breach of peace.
He was released after posting $7,500 bond and is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 25.
