Parim Vrzivoly, 35, with a last known address of 631 Fairfield Ave., is wanted in connection with the robbery at Mega Express Check Cashing at 341 Main St., police said.

When the two female employees opened the business at 7:57 a.m. Friday, a waiting man pulled out a handgun and pushed them to the back of the store, police said.

As the suspect corralled the two employees to the rear of the business, he pointed the gun at them, police said. He then began to strike and kick the employees as he ordered them to open the safe, police said.

The suspect then removed an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency from the safe and ran out of the store toward Wilson Street, police said.

Officers arrived and reviewed video footage and an undisclosed piece of evidence, police said. They quickly focused on Vrzivoly as the suspect and converged on the home at 631 Fairfield Ave. where he was last known to have resided, police said.

He wasn't there, but police believe he was staying at a hotel in the New York City area and driving a black 2008 Jeep Wrangler with a Connecticut license plate number of 897-WTF, police said.

Vrzivoly is considered armed and dangerous and may be under the influence of alcohol, police said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts or about the robbery is asked to call the Stamford Police Detective Bureau at 203-977-4417. All calls are kept confidential, police said.
