Numerous Shots Hit Stamford Family's Home; Police Probe Link To Homicide

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Several gunshots were fired at an occupied Stamford home that was the last known residence of a murder suspect on Wednesday night, according to officials.

Numerousrounds struck the exterior of the home at 11:30 p.m. Several rounds also entered the house as four adults, two children and a toddler slept. though no injuries were reported, Stamford Police said. 

A witness reported seeing a black male wearing dark clothing fire into the home on Cove Road before fleeing to a dark colored Dodge Charger on Dale Street, police said. 

Subsequent investigation revealed the home in question was the last known residence of a male who is incarcerated as a suspect in a November 2015 murder. The incident is being investigated as a possible act of retaliation, police said.
