Man Charged In Stamford Burglaries From 2002

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford police have charged a man in six burglaries that occurred back in 2002, Sgt. Andrew Gallagher said.

Reginald Robinson, 53, was a “prolific apartment burglar” and hit several different places all over Stamford, Gallagher said. He was unsure of what was taken in the burglaries.

Police singled out Robinson after security footage showed the suspect had worn a “distinctive hat” on each burglary, which was identified by law officials in Westchester County, Gallagher said. He was unable to describe the hat in any way other than “distinctive.”

Robinson had been incarcerated in Westchester County. Stamford police picked him up Monday, and he was arraigned in Stamford on Tuesday, Gallagher said.

He was charged with six counts of third-degree burglary, four counts of third degree larceny, credit card theft, second-degree larceny, and sixth-degree larceny, police said.
