The Milford Police Department released a surveillance photo of a suspect who walked into the Taste of Thai restaurant at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, on Broad Street in Armory Square.
Police said the suspect walked into the restaurant with a black semi-automatic handgun and took cash from the register. He then fled on foot onto Armory Square, in the direction of Broad street.
The suspect was described as being 5-foot-10, African-American with a thin build, and possibly with a mustache. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery. Police noted that they believe this suspect is the same as the suspect involved in a robbery at the People’s United Bank drive-thru earlier this week.
Investigators from the Milford Police Department are “urging residents and businesses in the Broad Street area to contact Police immediately if they see anyone matching this description or any suspicious activity.” Anyone with information or who knows the suspect has been asked to contact Det. Dennis Broderick by calling (203) 783-4732 or emailing dbroderick@ci.milford.ct.us.
