Keenan Sneed, 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 2 p.m. Saturday after officers received information that he would be in town to deliver heroin, said Capt. Richard Conklin.

When Sneed arrived at his meeting place at Seaside and Main Street, officers blocked in his vehicle so he couldn't escape. Instead of surrendering to police, Sneed plowed into the bumper area of one of the police vehicles with his 2018 Dodge Charger, Conklin said.

He then backed into a Honda Civic, before officers were able to pull him from the vehicle.

During a search of his car, officers seized 160 bags of heroin, one bag of marijuana and $467 in cash, Conklin said.

Sneed, who is recently out of prison, and on parole, is being held on $100,000 bond in addition to no bond for violating parole.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell, resisting arrest, interfering with police and a host of motor vehicle charges in connection with the crashes.

"Another fine job by our Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit ridding the area of opioids and drugs," he said.
