Stratford resident William Bonitati, 58, has been charged with four counts of second-degree harassment, after being taken into police custody on an active warrant that was issued for his arrest in Milford.

According to investigators, Bonitati repeatedly contacted the Milford Rape Crisis Center after being warned by police not to do so. Due to the “harassing nature of his conversations,” police said that the warrant was issued for his arrest.

Bonitati was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Milford Justice Court on Sept. 4 to answer the harassment charges.
