In December, a witness called the police to report a man dragging an unconscious woman into Augusto Carreras' apartment, the Advocate said. The first officer on the scene saw the man, Ruben Enio Sandoval, assaulting the woman, the Advocate said.

The two men were charged with sexual assault of someone physically helpless or unable to consent, the Advocate said. Police also charged Carreras, 54, with conspiracy at sexual assault and kidnapping, and Sandoval with first-degree unlawful restraint, reported the Stamford Advocate.

Carreras and Sandoval have until Nov. 12 to accept or reject the plea agreements, according to the Stamford Advocate.
