STAMFORD, Conn. — Violence that authorities have attributed to drug and turf wars across different parts of Stamford resulted in another shooting early Friday, the 25th such incident since early March, according to the Stamford Advocate.

No one was injured in the shooting, which lodged two bullets in the steel front door of a Myano Lane home, according to the Stamford Advocate.

A neighbor living nearby the scene of the shooting told authorities that he heard “four booms” at some point between midnight and 2 a.m. Friday, according to the Stamford Advocate, which reported that the homeowner also heard the booms, but did not notice the bullets lodged in his door until Friday afternoon.

Police believe the incident is likely connected to drug and turf wars that have resulted in violence between gangs living in Stamford’s West Side and South End, according to Stamford Advocate, which reported that Friday’s shooting was the first reported incident on the West Side since Aug. 7.
