Virginia Bellas, 84, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Virginia (Pagliaro) Bellas, of Stamford, died on Oct. 20. She was 84.

Bellas was born in Bridgeport to Frank and Anna Marie (Rapillo) Pagliaro, moving back to the area from Massachusetts in 1973.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband George, stepmother Rosemary (Giandonato) Pagliaro, sisters Louisa Bevans and Ann Williams, and brother Michael (Mickey).

Bellas is survived by three sons, Ronald and wife Debbie of East Bridgewater, Mass., David and wife Kathy of Old Lyme, and Richard; daughter Diane Prunotto and husband John; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two brothers, Frank Pagliaro of Trumbull, and Donald Pagliaro and wife Albina of Florida.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, Oct. 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home, located at 453 Shippan Ave. in Stamford.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Leo R.C. Church, at 24 Roxbury Road in Stamford.

The committal service and interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Leo's Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT 06902 or to a charity of your choice.
