STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford resident Robert "Bob" Lewis Evans died on Tuesday, Jan. 12. He was 61.
Born in Bronxville, N.Y., Evans worked as a construction project manager for Flagler Construction in Florida, and started his own building and remodeling company in Fairfield County.
Evans was also an avid sailor, who enjoyed being out on Long Island Sound.
He is survived by his wife Jane Evans of Stamford; brothers William Evans, David Evans and Richard Evans; nephews Wiley Evans, John Evans, Tom Evans, Ber Evans and Sam Evans; and niece Tori LaRovera.
Evans was predeceased by his parents, William and Ann Evans.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Union Memorial Church, 58 Church St., Stamford, with Pastor Blaine Edele officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shippan's Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home.
