STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford resident Martin Robert "Buzzy" Kavicky died on Friday, March 4. He was 69.
Kavicky was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Stamford and Connecticut Maritime Association. He regularly volunteered for Pacific House emergency shelter for the homeless. He was an Army veteran, professional, and a devoted father and family man.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah and her husband Dylan Skidmore; son Adam Campbell; former wife Kathryn Kavicky; sister Barbara and her husband Thomas Dalvano; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at the First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Bedford St., in Stamford. A reception will follow, from 2:30-5:30, at Zody's 19th Hole, 451 Stillwater Rd., in Stamford. Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home, in Stratford, is assisting with arrangements.
