Alfred Johnsen, 71, Of Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Alfred Johnsen, a resident of Stamford, died Saturday, Feb.13. He was 71.

Johnsen served served in the US Army as a radio operator and qualified as a sharp shooter during the Vietnam War. He attended Sacred Heart University. He was also a limo driver until he retired in 2009.

He is survived by his son Alfred Johnsen, daughter Tina Johnsen and granddaughter Jessica Johnsen, all of Long Branch, NJ; sister Eleanor Greitz of South Toms River, NJ; and his nieces and nephews Jan Conkel (Jim) of Bel Air, MD, Maryhope Goshea, Melissa-faith Goshea and Antoinette Pisante (Mario) all of Stamford, Raymond Goshea of West Palm Beach, FL and Richard Goshea of La Porte, TX; George Greitz (Anna), Thomas Greitz (Lori), Robert Greitz (Susan) and Kathleen Greitz, all of South Toms River NJ along with many other great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Marilyn A. Goshea and brother in law, George Greitz.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Stamford.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
