The lawyer for a man facing deportation after he was grabbed outside of court by immigration agents said his client may have little recourse despite being the father of a legal American resident.
Edwin Silva, 22, was one of two men confronted outside the Golden Hill Street courthouse last week by an ICE team, according to this report in the Connecticut Post.
The undocumented immigrant dove over a chest-high retaining wall and fled down the street, leaving his sneakers behind, The Post said.
The immigration enforcement officers and local police arrested Silva about a half mile away at the ramp of the 25/8 Connector.
