Gina Clemente, 33, who's facing a first-degree arson charge in the May 2015 fire in an apartment on River Road in Greenwich, had initially been released with electronic monitoring. But prosecutors asked for the higher bail this week after learning the woman's doctor did not send the letter, the CT Post says.
Her attorney said the woman was trying to protect her unborn child when she made the error in judgment, the CT Post reports.
