STAMFORD, Conn. -- Rylie Emma Walker, a sixth-grade student from Stamford, was voted as the winning chef, at the First County Bank Teen Chef Challenge, during the Maple Sugar Festival Weekend, March 5-6.

Walker competed against seven other talented teen chefs to create the best-tasting recipe using maple syrup, as judged by the public and five celebrity judges. Walker won with her maple meatballs and maple blinis and was invited to return in 2017 as a celebrity judge.

The competition took place at the Stamford Nature Center & Museum, 39 Scofieldtown Rd.
