GREENWICH, Conn. -- Members of the Greenwich Council of the Boy Scouts of America greeted Greenwich Town Party patrons with red silk poppy flowers to help remember and honor military veterans.

The daylong event Saturday at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park drew a crowd of 8,000, who enjoyed the music of the Doobie Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire as well as other local bands.
