Students ages 8 through 17 with an interest in strengthening ballet technique with pre-professional classical ballet training are invited to audition at the academy studios.
The three-week Summer Intensive program includes training in pre-pointe, pointe, technique, repertory, character, modern and Pilates. It culminates in an in-studio ballet performance before the dancers' parents and guests.
Auditions will begin at 1 p.m.
An informal showcase of competition dances by current students will take place at noon. The show is in preparation for the upcoming Youth American Grand Prix.
The academy's studios are at 181 Westchester Ave. in Port Chester.
