Joe Pantoliano of Wilton, who won an Emmy Award for his work as Ralph Cifaretto on the HBO organized crime drama, will be part of a Q&A session after the films are shown.

The actor, who has also had starring roles in “The Matrix,” “The Fugitive,” "La Bamba" and “Risky Business,” will be joined on the stage by Tony Spiridakis, founder of the Manhattan Film Institute, and Shannon Goldman, a co-founder of the New York-based production company Rockville Pictures.

The screening will be from 4-5 p.m. March 12. It will serve as the culmination of the semester’s work, according to organizers, who said each film is 3 to 5 minutes long and that each actor in the program stars in two of the works.

The assignment aims not only to teach students about the art of film making, but to beef up their portfolios, according to organizers, who said that many in the group have used the works while applying to film school while others have entered them in film festivals.

The Darien Arts Center is located at 2 Renshaw Road behind Darien Town Hall. Click here to learn more about the Darien Arts Center or call 203-655-8683.
