Annual GreekFest Kicks Off In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The annual GreekFest at the Church of the Archangels in Stamford, featuring food, music and fun, will take place rain or shine from Thursday to Sunday.

Admission is free. The festival will be open Thursday from 5-10 p.m., Friday from 5-11 p.m., Saturday, from noon-11 p.m. and Sunday from noon-7 p.m.

In addition to Greek fare that includes souvlaki, pastitsio, moussaka, lamb, spanakopita, roasted chicken and a variety of Greek pastries baked by the church women, this year’s event includes a variety of vendors and the return of many carnival rides and games.

There will also be a religious bookstore and tours of the Archangels church. Raffle tickets also are available at the church and during the festival. The grand prize is a 2016 BMW X1 28i sedan.
