STAMFORD, Conn. ? Stamford Hospital will open a satellite facility at Chelsea Piers Connecticut to serve customers of the sports and entertainment complex, according to a press release.
Beginning in 2013, the 18,500-square-foot branch will give on-site health screenings and promote its orthopedic services to Chelsea members, the release said.
“Having Stamford Hospital on-site is a major benefit for our customers who need orthopedic and other health services; we look forward to being a major platform for the hospital’s public outreach in a wide range of health and wellness initiatives,” David A. Tewksbury, president of Chelsea Piers Connecticut, said in the release.
“We want everyone who uses the sports and recreation facility to receive the resources they need to maintain an active lifestyle,” hospital Senior Vice President David Smith said in the release.
