The contest is open to all local businesses with a storefront and is not limited to Chamber members. Businesses are encouraged to decorate their storefronts in the spirit of the holidays and will be eligible to win prizes and special recognition for their efforts.
This year’s windows will be evaluated by four groups of judges. The town will be broken into four areas:
- Central Greenwich: starting from the intersection of North Street and East Putnam Avenue. and ending at the Anthropologie store on West Putnam Avenue; it includes Greenwich Avenue and all side streets;
- Byram, Glenville and Pemberwick;
- Cos Cob/Riverside; and
- Old Greenwich.
There will be one winner per geographic area judged as the Best Greenwich Holiday Storefront.
The judging begins on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and will run through Friday, Dec. 5.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Chamber’s Holiday Party and Storefront Decorating Awards event, which will be held at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The party will be open to members and nonmembers.

Prizes will include free advertising on the Chamber’s website or a free Chamber membership and special recognition at the Chamber’s well-attended holiday party.
The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, an independent nonprofit business organization, has served Greenwich since 1917. Its purpose is to improve the town's business climate while promoting the civic and social interest of the community.
