Mixed Bag For Weekend With 60% Chance Of Showers In Stamford

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Break out the raingear folks, the forecast is for a mostly wet and nasty weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

A sunny disposition and a good umbrella will go a long way this weekend. Weather forecasters are predicting a mixed bag of (mostly) rain, sun and clouds.

There is a 60 percent chance of showers, mainly after 4 p.m. Saturday and continuing into the night, the service said.

Daytime temperatures in the region will reach about 64, while nighttime lows should hit 49.

There is a 40 percent chance of rain Sunday and Sunday night, with daytime temperatures at a high of 64 and nighttime at 50.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers Monday, mostly after noon, as temperatures struggle up into the high 60s.

Raindrops also will fall Tuesday, but the skies will be mostly sunny Wednesday.

Next Thursday and Friday are looking pretty good, with partly sunny skies and highs near 80 and 78, respectively.
