It's "leaf peeping" season and colors are in their prime.

According to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), the season began in mid-to-late September and goes through mid-to-late October. 

Peak color is between now (Oct. 5) and Nov. 13, depending on local weather. For a current fall foliage report, click HERE.
