Bridgegate Scandal Lands Former Christie Allies In Prison FORT LEE, N.J. -- Former allies of Gov. Chris Christie were sentenced to prison Wednesday for engineering lane closures in Fort Lee near the George Washington Bridge, multiple news outlets reported. Bill Baroni, former deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, was sentenced to two years in prison and 500 hours of community service, politico.com reported. Community Rallies For Wayne Boy, 9, Critically Injured in Crash WAYNE, N.J. -- Medical bills are mounting for a Wayne boy in a medically-induced coma following a multi-car crash on Friday. Friends and family established a GoFundMe page for Matthew Polifonte who is in critical condition at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson. Matthew and his twin sister, who turn 10 on Monday, were driving with their mother and three siblings on Ratzer Road to a lacrosse meet when a drunk driver hit them from behind while at a red light. Giant Champion Breed Cat Found Wandering Paterson PATERSON, N.J. -- Animal control officers were called to Mill Street in Paterson Thursday on reports of a bobcat or tiger sighting, according to multiple news outlets. It was nothing quite as wild but almost as unusual for the streets of Paterson: a Savannah cat was in a backyard on Mill Street, CBS reports. Wildlife Freedom Inc. in Wanaque tranquilized the cat and is holding on to it until the owner can be found, the station said.
