“We are thrilled to strike a partnership with such a notable club as the CFC,” Dave Flower, director of soccer at Chelsea Piers Connecticut, said in a news release. “We have some of the best facilities in the area and look forward to giving Lower Fairfield County soccer players the same opportunities as the players from northern and central Connecticut have enjoyed with CFC."
“We always strive to provide our players with the best facilities and coaching possible and the state-of-the-art facilities at Chelsea Piers and the leadership Dave (Flower) and Susie (Starr) will provide fall exactly into our model,” Connecticut Football Club Co-Founder Matt Micros said in the release.
Chelsea Piers will have a Junior Academy program for boys and girls for U8, U9, and U10 teams, and Premier program for girls for U11 and U12, a news release said. The teams will begin play in the fall and have one game and one practice per week.
Tryouts for the teams will be on June 10, 12, and 13 at Chelsea Piers Connecticut, 1 Blacheley Road, Stamford.
