Westport-Based Boys Hoop Team Wins N.Y. Tourney

WESTPORT, Conn. – The Westport Phoenix AAU boys basketball team won the Brewster Tip-Off Classic eighth-grade division championship on Sunday.

The Phoenix went undefeated, winning all three games by double-digit margins.

Members of the team are: front row: Jared Vishno (Westport), Kevin Woodring (Norwalk), Adam Friedman (Westport), Geoff Santore (Newtown), Thomas Rosiello (Weston), Matt Gerics (Newtown). Back row: Coach Shuan Malone, Jakari Gaynor (Norwalk), Emmett Witmer (Greenwich), Ryan Angerthal (Westport), Kris Brower-Dammen (Weston), Jackson Ward (Westport), and Jordan Foster (Bridgeport).
