STAMFORD, Conn. - If you were unable to see Stamford’s high school cheerleading teams compete in the county championship this past weekend, you still have a chance. MSG Varsity will air the competition on TV in March.
“All the hours of practice and training have come down to this one event for these exceptional teams, and it’s an honor having MSG Varsity as a partner in bringing the 2013 FCIAC Championships into the homes of those in Fairfield County,” Dave Schulz, president of the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference, said in a release.
The cheer teams from Stamford High School, Westhill High School, and Trinity Catholic High School were three of the 15 teams that participated; they will be featured in the TV show with interviews, full routine coverage, and the awards presentations, the release said.
The competition will be a special 90-minute episode of MSG Varsity’s “The Cheering Life.” It will air March 10 at 9 p.m. on MSG Varsity, Optimum TV channel 14, the release said.
