Pace Setters Welcome South Bronx Softball Team To Campus

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In what has become a yearly tradition, last month the Pace University softball team welcomed the Lady Tigers softball team from Jordan L. Mott – Middle School 022 in the South Bronx to work on their softball skills with the Setters on the new Pace Softball Field in Westchester.

While the Setters have held instructional drills with the Lady Tigers in the past, this year the teams split into a pair of inter-squad groups and scrimmaged on the brand new home field. The game allowed both teams to show off their skills and ended with players from both teams bonding over the sport they love.

The Setters and Lady Tigers shared a new connection in this year's session, as both teams became champions since their last meeting in Oct. 2015. Pace won its first-ever Northeast-10 Conference Softball Championship in 2016, and the Lady Tigers earned their way to the NYC Middle School Athletic League Playoff Championship Title.
