Whipple won her age group by more than a minute. Stamford's Katherine Munno was 14th in the same group and Darien's Megan Powell was 18th.

Clark ran 3:46:41 in near ideal conditions on the course that began at Monmouth Park race track and weaved through several New Jersey communities. The race finished on the boardwalk in Long Branch. Clark also easily qualified for Boston. Clark initially was placed second in the division. A results update late Monday put him at the top of the pack.

Belles ran 3:05:01 and won by more than two minutes.
